I got the Porridge series out from the video store just a few months ago. They had not aged and loved them all over again.

    A great talent.

The porridge series was pure brilliance, there isnt an episode that doesnt have you in stitches.

One thing from the two Ronnies that i do remember is when he goes to the bar to order drinks for everyone and has a drink every time. He keeps forgetting the order so has to go back several times, by the end he is plastered, the order just gets funnier and funnier.

I couldn't get enough of these guys when I was younger like Steptoe & Son, the Carry On movies, Charlie Drake, Norman Wisdom, On The Buses, Love Thy Neighbour etc etc real comedy not like trashy yank crap they serve up to day

Does any one remember The Plank very funny skit

Dont forget John Cleese. There have been some funny British sitcoms but no one particular comedian that really stands out, not like they did way back then. You are right, they dont make them like they used to. matt
