    "Defender" to live another day?

I wonder what the chances are of this actually working...

You mean so he can built an even smaller quantity of Defenders and sell them to people that will garage them next to their Bugatti.....

The thought of anyone building a Land Rover Defender besides Land Rover is offensive...

To me the Defender is in that small group of iconic vehicles widely used, known, owned, seen, driven etc etc etc and in many ways shaped motoring history.....

    Land Rover (series I).
    Jeep (Willys 1943 on)
    Range Rover (classic).
The (Australian) Tray back (most notable being the Toyota Land Cruiser).
The (Australian) Ute (Ford or Holden)
    Fiat (500).
    Mini.
    VW Beetle.
    Ford (Model T).
    Ford Transit (van).

I note the article also mentions JLR talking about the "next" Defender, which some on here have said won't happen?!
AFAIAC, JLR have ALWAYS talked about the "Next" Defender,...never any doubt about it, so I've always been confident there will be one,......not saying I wouldn't mind it having another name though!!
