Geez, Kieth. Park it next to the Tickford in the rare best shed!
Never seen not hard of be diffs in any Perentie. Did it come straight from auction or civvy street?
My Perentie 6x6 came fitted with Borg Warner Diffs.
Can anyone help with a model number for them so I can find a parts diagram to source spares.
I can only find info on the Salisbury.
Keith

I bought the rolling chassis and steel military cab from a bloke in Sydney back in 2000.
I cant remember well but I think he used to work for JRA and acquired this stuff from them. I have the idea its a prototype that was discarded.
He was going to make a camper from it as well but gave up on the idea for some reason.
I seems it had a full length steel body but he had cut it off at the back of the cab area.
It came with those factory diff locks that use the same vacuum actuator as on the LT95 centre diff.
I sent pics to Diff Lapping in Brisbane, and while they are familiar with BW diffs they could not identify it either.
They said to remove the cover and there should be writing on the crown wheel that will help in identification.
These are the first Borg Warner diffs I have come across , not having played with Holdens etc and as there is no drain plug like on a Salisbury one just has to remove the cover for each oil change

Its quite possible if u remove the bottom bolt it will b the diff drain.

Keith,
I posted this on pirate4x4 for you years ago and turned up nothing:
ID these axles please! (Borg-Warner???) - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum
I suspect you might have Australian prototype diffs / axles. You probably need to try and track down one of the R&D engineers from Borg Warner AU or the perentie project.
Ben.
Can't complain about free vacuum operated diff locks!
Last time I saw these they had torana front disc calipers. I was told that they added too much dollars to the project as Salisbury was off the shelf.
they had been fitted to a few R&D chassis.
Along with a 5 speed gearbox for 6X6.
They had been made locally, I was told that they are of the shelf-But I don't think so.I once did an online search and they did come up in the USA as a OEM product for low volume manufacture.
