Your 130 may have been one of the last using a 300 Tdi motor made in UK before the TD5 was introduced. However some markets were not suited to this new technology and emission standards there did not yet require it. So the tooling was sent to Brazil and production apparently continued until 2006. Apparently British military were among customers did not want TD5's. Brazilians also produced a modified 2.8 litre version - the TGV. Some of these had variable pitch turbos which improved boost and pulling power at low revs.
