Hi
In another thread Benji wrote
"The idle speed on petrol is done by first matching the voltage on the tps, then setting up the idle so that at 15 steps on the idle steper motor is around 750rpm. This needs to be done via diagnostics.
I'm pretty sure you can alter the fuel correction by diagnostics too - I've never done it though."
I replaced my stepper recently and I am having issues getting a stable idle.
Does anyone know how do this procedure using a nanocom?
Thanks
Steve

Thanks mate, I found that as well as the nanocom GEMS doc has a basic procedure.
It seems too simple for a P38![]()
I changed the setting to 15 using the nanocom and after a bit of driving it had set itself to 30 and I saw it as high as 38
The Morgan document lays out the procedure perfectly.
I read about the bleed air bypass screw getting clogged with carbon and I think mine is, i took the cap out and I can't see an allen key socket just back hard deposits by the look of it
I'll have another look on the weekend, but I think cleaning and adjusting that screw should solve my problem.
Thanks again benji
Steve
Turns out what looked like a build up of crud was a little black rubber stopper !
So I tweaked the allen key setting and am now running at around 20 steps and my idle problem is fixed![]()
