Light over rear step

I am thinking of putting some sort of light , under the bumper, over the rear step, so that when the 6th and 7th seat passengers are getting in and out at night it lights up when the interior lights come on.

Thinking of power off the overhead light supply and fitting an LED strip or something

Anyone done something like this please

i don't have the 7 seat issue but i did add some led cable lights inside the cargo area and ran the wire to the interior light


makes a big difference


i also had some spare LED light cable left so i mounted this on the underside of the bonnet,, and wired in a on off switch this also works great when working in the engine bay at night

To alleviate this very problem, we sourced some small led downlights (about 19mm diameter) off eBay.

Remove the trim off the headliner over the back door and mount the LEDs at equal intervals along its length. Connect the LEDs in parallel to the rear load space lamp...

Voila!

It works really well.
