    What Compressor Do I Have

Been getting some 'Normal Height Only Available' faults and have been following AMK Compressor and "Normal Height Only" fault, and fix! thread thinking it may be time to replace a few things etc.

Is it possible to identify what kind of compressor I have without first pulling the thing out?

Ride is a D4 SDV6 my11. Is there some place I can just plug in a vin number to find out?

When I permanently fix my compressor issue, I will take photos of how bad the bore is on my compressor which is obviously caused by grit, as there was not a mark on the aluminium pistons

Sorry to revive an old thread but I couldn't see an answer if it's possible to find out what compressor a vehicle has without removing it. After going through 25 pages of threads concerning suspension issues I'm none the wiser.
Reason I ask is that I have the dreaded "only normal height available" message and want to find out what compressor I have on my 2014 model before get my hands dirty . I have a IID tool but don't see an option to identify the compressor.

    Cheers

I took the plastic guard off (to put on a metal one) and I was able to see the branding on the compressor. I did not remove the compressor. HTH.

If you have a 2014 vehicle it will be the AMK.

Even if it has failed and switched out you will still have the AMK.
