    USB Iphone Charger

Does anyone know if I can make the USB (centre console) connection constantly live so that it will continue to charge my phone after the car is turned off an locked?

I know I can make one of the cigarette lighters live but as this is tucked away it would be more my preference, I'm unsure because this feeds into the entertainment system.

    thanks, Luke

Hi mate, I was considering putting in a USB charger inside the console between the seats and also moving my stereo aux input into that location as well. My disco doesn't have Bluetooth streaming so this would charge my iPhone and input to the stereo in the same location. At the moment the aux is facing the rear seats at the back of the console and constant gets knocked by the kids in the back which is a pain in the bum.

Let me know how you go and if you find anywhere on the beaches that help you out. I'm in Warriewood.

    hey Fisser

I think just about any auto electrician should be ok to do that for you, there is definitely one on Bassett Street (west) in mona vale but also very likely to be one in warriewood over by Garden street too.

Get a mini fuse piggy back, find a constant live fuse(behind glovebox and run a wire to your USB.
Its the mini size you need.

I just re-read your post.May not be a good idea powering the factory USB how I suggested.
Simply buy a Narva twin USB outlet and you are safe.
I run a USB drive with all my music on plugged into the factory USB,in the glove box(MY14) I dont have them in the console(that Ive seen).
