Not sure about the D2 because mine is a D1, but when I got mine back from having the front shocks and coils replaced it stalled about 2 k's up the road and wouldn't start again. I called the mechanics who had just tuned it at the same time and they came straight out. It turned out that the connector on the thing (I'm sure everybody else can tell me what it isops: ) between the air filter and injector had come loose. As soon as it was put back on properly it started easily and hasn't missed a beat (on road) sisnce then.
I am sure there are a lot more connectors on a D2 that can cause it, so you will probably have fun trying to find them all 8O 8O
