The standard Rhino Rack mounts are very high.
Has anyone managed to lower their rack.
I'm thinking of custom making some lower mounts.

I have designed and 3d printed some legs that sit the tray about 25mm above the roof. Will have 6 mounting points. I wanted the tray as low as possible to help with lifting my kayak up there regularly.

the backbone mounts are lower than those legs

What length is your rack?
I have the backbone on mine which is about a low as you can go.
I'll post some pics
Still under 2.1m at standard height with the maxtrax's mounted up

LLAMS, Rhino Platform on backbone, Mitch hitch, Travall guard, Traxide DBS, HR Guardian IQ, Uniden 8080s+RFI, ATP sliders & underbody protection, Tuffants.
I've got the backbone mounting system and the top of the tray sits about 90mm from the roof of the car.
It was the lowest mounting system I could find.
