    The Veronicas, dark and edgy.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

If you want to watch some real out there music from the Veronicas, google " on your side, veronicas, you tube". Far too raunchy for AULRO, I'm afraid. The Range Rover drivers would choke on their pink gins.

Just a couple of Qld Catholic girls, suffering from repressed guilt.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste, but when "The Secret Life Of..." came out in 2005, they really came out on their own- commercially and artistically.
The whole album has a clean, crisp sound and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that gives their songs a big boost. They've been compared to Kylie, but I think The Veronicas have a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
In '07, The Veronicas released "Hook me up", their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Untouched", a song so catchy most people probably don't listen to the lyrics - but they should! Because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself!

They hooked up with Excaliber, a record mob from Brisbane, then moved to Sydney with Engine room, who recognised their potential, organised a trip to the USA to showcase their talents. The rest is history, Warner Bros. Music Group took them on, their music took on a hard edge, and every post has been a winner. Not bad for a couple of kids from Albany Creek. Interesting that Archie comics sued them for trademark infringement, over their name. Too much like Veronica Lodge, of comic book fame. They turned that on its head by cutting a deal whereby Archie Comics published a comic book with them in it, with a way to download their new single on mp3 [ think that's what they call it]. Win, win, smart thinking by some one.

Their music doesn't interest me,but they did buy a 3 bedroom unit from me in New Farm, that is if anyone knows the area.

That was probably around 10 yrs or so ago.

    They have recently sold it.

    Just a bit of trivia

I used to deliver the mail in New Farm. Had many a refreshing ale in the mess at HMAS Moreton.

    It's a small world

My wife lived in Villiers st for a good few years before we were married.Early 80's.I used to park the HQ ute on the street, never left anything in it overnight. The next day one of the doors would be unlocked and the glovebox open.....I had a kill switch hidden under the seat
