Should we split the D3/D4 Auto trans FAQ thread

Hi All,

We've had a request to look at splitting the Disco 3/4 Automatic Transmission FAQ thread into 6 Speed and 8 Speed.

Before we work out if and how we are going to do that, it seemed sensible to ask you guys, who use it the most, whether you want it split or not.

Once we get a view of how popular the idea is from the poll, we'll work out which way to go...

Hmmm, I have a D4 with 6 speed...

Are you splitting D3 and D4 or splitting by gear box?
If by gear box then should it be


D3 - 6 Speed
D4 - 6 Speed
D4 - 8 Speed

Tony D3 6 speed transmission and D4 6 speed is the same thing... My D4 is like yours, 6 speed........ the 8 Speed is a different beast hence the suggestion to separate thing to make it easier for people to find posts relevant to them.

We will separate the thread into two - Thanks all who voted to give us a clear idea of what YOU wanted.

It may be a week or two before we get it done - Most of the mod crew are a little busy with other things right now...Ho Ho Ho...... or was that bah humbug

Anyway.... I'm hoping to get it sorted for you by the new year!...
