Anzac Day marches banned in the Blue Mountains

We have not long been back from a trip to Katoomba. They know how to rip money out of tourists. I believe this is not about terrorism, but just plain greed.

Yep, our pathetic do-gooder people who have lead this country for the last couple of decades have totally stuffed us more and more each year. Being politically correct has got us nowhere we want to be, and starting to get us further and further to a point of no return.
Our forefathers would be turning in their graves at what we're letting happen to this country.

Yes, if the issue was just blocking off roads, I'm sure a police car or council truck would do a good job of it. Safety of the public is paramount, of course.Having had the job of organising the Anzac Day march at Sandgate when it was the Naval associations turn, I'm fully aware of the issues involved. Something just doesn't sound right here. I'll be approaching our sub-branch to see if they know the full story, out of interest.

    Disgraceful,..but why am I not surprised?....this sort of stuff is happening more & more,...and Council's "Excuse",..the "cost" of $70K?..what a weak excuse.
Jeez, I don't know about the actual Council involved, but judging by the amount of wastage/wasteful, useless works I see by our council, $70K would be a drop in the ocean.

A lot of our freedoms have been eroded by the err, more conservative side of politics in the guise of saving us from terrorism "for our own good" IMO, but I'm straying into dangerous territory now...
