    wading plugs

Hi everyone, I am curious to know whether wading plugs are required on a Td5 auto Discovery. I believe there's only one port on the transmission to plug but have been told it's not really necesssary. I'd be interested in your 'real world' experiences.

many thanks and merry Christmas to all

I always forget to fit mine on my 93 Rangie auto. Went through about 70CM the other day and no apparent problems.

This what happened to the inside of my timimg cover the last time i forgot to put the wading plugs in. This caused the belt to fail and a 130K and the end stopped. So well wroth putting them in

In the end i ended up keeping them in and putting a breather on the timeing case . so that it could still breath but not suck water and crap in
BTW this was on a 200 TDI 90
