The Chassis was professionally shortened by a chassis builder with experience in building racing Land Rovers amoungst many other machines.

Here we can see the original chassis cut at the right place (least tapered bit) and 5 securing holes drilled on each side of each section - these will be used to secure the sleeve.



The galvanised C section makes up the sleeve









The sleeve is then finally closed with a couple of runs of weld, this method welds the original chassis back together as well as welding the chassis to the galvanised sleeve.
