Temperature sender on a LT95 gearbox

    Hello,

Has anyone put a temperature sender on a LT95 gearbox? Any ideas on how this maybe acheived with as little stress as possible??

Never done this, but since the case is aluminium, which is a good conductor of heat, fixing the sensor to the outside would make sense, preferably out of the airflow, and preferably below oil level. It would need to be in good thermal contact with the case - using a spare hole such - I seem to remember a couple exist - would be good, but the sensor coould be simply glued to the surface and protected with silicone rubber. Several senders could be attached to different locations (e.g. main vs transfer, or adjacent to critical bearings, for example).
Why do you want this anyway?
