    Garrison sliding window rubber channels

Hi, hope you had a great easter break.

I'm on the lookout to resolve the rattling rear sliding windows in the defender.

Garrison seem to have a good but costly solution.

From what i can see it looks like the velvet like inserts has reduced in size and now allows the windows to move and thus causing a rattle.

Thought it would be a good idea to see how you have worked around or solved the issue.

    Thank you all

There seem to be all sorts of solutions. I have tried using large black drinking straws squashed in the channel and also the offcuts from cable ties which have provided some sort of 'relief'.

But what I use now is 10mm wide black Velcro pushed in the channel. Because this exerts some force against both sides (glass & channel) and sort of locks itself against the channel works well, and is very cheap.

Give it a go before you try a more expensive option.
    Cheers

Order flocked bailey channel from Clarke rubber or wherever else you can get it as a cut length. The profile is 350.360. If you use the search function below, and search 'Update-Defender rear window rattles gone' page 3, you'll find more information.

Thanks guys, I suppose if it is the top that is rattling then the velcro will just fall out. In that case the clark rubber may be the better solution.

Surpringly the Velcro doesn't fall out, maybe mine are not excessively worn in the channels though. But very cheap solution.
