i'm pretty sure the traxide system waits till both batteries drop to a pre-determined voltage before it isolates, extends the use of your accessaries when parked
drivesafe or zook or one of the boys will verify
Today we had the original battery replaced with a new one (5yrs) and when they disconnected the battery then installed the new one, the radio didn't have to have the code put in to make it work, it just worked.
Now in the past when i've disconnected the battery you had to reprogram the radio with the code.
Could i have a problem with the second battery keeping power to the car, from my basic knowledge of dual battery systems it should be isolated, right :?
I have a DII TD5 with a Traxide Tronics system and i don't think it's the problem, and i've checked all the wires under the bonnet, has anyone got any ideas or is this OK.

Hi Redback, weeds is right on the money.
Unless both batteries were below 12 volts, the SC40 will maintain a connection between the two batteries and depending on the way you have every thing wired up, you will most likely be powering your vehicles electric's off the auxiliary battery. As such, all is well.
Please not though, if you were to try to start your vehicle, the circuit breaker will trip, protecting everything.
Cheers.
OK thanks guys, just making sure things were OK, i thought there would be a logical answer.
