    Air Suspension Leak

Hi Guys and Girls, I have a 2016 TDV6 D4. I work away so often the car sits there unused for up to 12 days at a time........
When I return home, the right rear air bag is down to its bump stops.........The rest of the car is ok.
I have taken the car back to where I purchased it from 3 times now and they still can not find the leak.............How hard can it be??
They claim they have pulled the air bag out and leak tested it and tightened all fittings??

    Does anyone have any ideas??
Its a 4 hour trip there and back for me every time to the service centre and I am over taking the car back??

    Thanks

Hi, this happened to my 06RRS. I found it to be the front valve block. I removed the lines and gave it a good clean, never had the problem again. Not sure if it's the same set up on yours. You get access to it via the rhs wheel arch from memory. (RRS that is)
    Cheers
    Scott.

2016 still under warranty I assume so ask the dealer to change the rear valve block for starters, but really, just tell the dealer to do a proper job of diagnosing the fault.

Why not drive it to the dealer and leave it there for the 12 days and get a cab to the airport? That will give them plenty of time to check it out and see the problem happening for them.

4hr return trip from Falcon, where on earth are you taking it? As said, just book it in at Southerns when you go away again. They are near the airport anyway.

Agree with others, take it to Southerns, and start getting short with them. The suspension in these cars has been around since the first D3 rolled off the line, so there are no excuses for ****ty fault-finding skills any more.

If it's down to it's bump stop in 12 days I should think there was at least some sag developing overnight - they should know pretty quickly if the problem is solved or not.

    Hi dwaters.
My apologies if my previous response may have come across a little harsh. I live in Bunbury so trips to my closest dealer mean a whole day's work lost, which can mean a bit when one is self employed....

Seriously, if only one corner is dropping, that would mean it would have to be either the relevant valve block, lines, bag or sensor on that corner only? Given that the bag is known as being robust and lines are easy to check, I would bet on the valve block being faulty.

    Chris
