200tdi into S2A prop shaft hitting oil return into sump

Has anyone with conversion experience relocated the oil return pipe on the sump? The pipe rubs on the prop shaft gaiter and rips the rubber apart, so I'm looking at cutting the pipe and moving it a couple of inches astern.
i am hoping my welding will be up to the job.
If the pipe is relocated to a slightly higher level will this be an issue? I think the pipe is a basic oil return line and if it's an inch or so higher on the sump wall I don't think it should really matter. Just like to be sure.

You are spot on! I cut the pipe out (it protrudes into the sump somewhat) and welded it around the corner a little. as long as you get a air tight weld you'll be all good.
I do remember i ended up doing it twice... but here is the photo i found...

not sure if that was the final resting place, but it gives you the idea of how i went about it
