    Electrical gremlin - Earth fault?

I noticed the other day when sitting at the lights that my EGT gauge blanked out (Autometer LED). At first I thought bugger, it's blown, but when I took my foot off the brake it came back on. Foot on brake it goes off etc. Then just today I had the ignition on and, for no particular reason, I put my foot on the brake and noticed that the fuel pump slowed down. Interestingly, the EGT gauge seemed to have fixed itself, but just wondering if I have a whole body earth problem?

Sounds like a body earth issue.

Fixed. unbolted the cable where it attaches to the chassis just as it comes out of the battery box. Cleaned up the terminal, bolt and around the hole in the chassis. All good, I've even got 12.7v at my headlights now instead of 10.3v
