    Exhaust Manifold Plea

Ok... The restoration so far has been going really well. Well... Up until the moment where I removed the exhaust manifold to replace the gasket and a repaint. A new stainless steel exhaust system arrive from JC's in the UK and the manifold just looked like a flaky sixty year old that need some attention. Plus so far everything I've taken off has been repainted as a little progress map. Any hoo... I've taken the manifold off and hung it up ready for a fresh coating of caliper paint and as I've turned away the manifold has slipped off the wire holder and cracked in two on the garage floor. I was gutted!
I tried to Tig weld it but no joy!
I tried to cold chemical weld it but not with anything like the fix I was hoping for.
I've wrapped it in heat wrap for the moment but I have to resign myself to the fact i'm going to have to replace it.

So if any of you kind souls out there have a '57 manifold collecting dust on a shelf somewhere than I have some items I could swap:
    • Lucas headlamps mathing pair sealed beams with housings.
    • 3 Mitchelin XZL 4x4 OR 7.5 x 16 (New)
    • Stromburg carburetta
    • Thermostat housing (pre "55)
    • 1600cc head
    • Aluminum inlet manifold and connector pipes back to thermostat.
    • Exhaust back box and rear pipe section (fair condition)
    • Cash

Please feel free to contact me.
    thanks,
    M (Oh I'm a newbie)

I bought a new manifold for my 1595cc S1 from JC's cost 175 pounds + freight . not sure if they have any 2L manifolds. I did see some one who had them when I was looking for my manifold , it may have been Dingocroft , not sure.IMAG0999.jpg
