Hi all,
I've got a leaking fuel line visible from underneath at the back of the engine high up, a hassle to get at not easy to see where it connects to at the top.
Is this common?
Have others fixed it themselves, if so what's the job like to tackle? looks to be a pain to get at on the top side, either lots to remove from underneath to get at the top or same from the top to get at the top side!
Do you know the part number?
Could a standard fuel house be fitted rather than going genuine or aftermarket correct fitting part.
Where would be a good place to get parts?
Or where is a good trust worthy place to get it fixed and regular services done in or close to the Blue Mountains i.e Penrith, Blacktown on the way to work at Horsley Park?
Approximate cost for the above repair?
Photo showing leaking location. Factory bash plate removed for the photo and to easily see the leak, at where appears to be the origin.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Thanks Northiam,
Just a bit far to go from the Blue Mountains if I need to get it there, (its loosing too much to driver that far) hopefully they are open to providing some advice over the phone to help steer me in the right direction.
I also found this thread related to potential places closer to home
LR Mechanic in Blue Mountains
Had the car not quite a year and already having trouble disappointing only has 118k got it with 109k. nice car to drive and be in apart from the 6 speed auto becoming jumpy at times on low down gear changes up 1st maybe 2nd. The v6 twin turbo great for towing transmission not as smooth as my 5 speed auto NP Pajero that has 225k on the clock.
Will be looking to do the Disco transmission service myself i.e. change the tray and integrated filter plus new oil - hopefully that makes a difference.
I think that is up towards the high pressure fuel pump.
Hopefully it is something a bit cheaper and easier to fix.
What year model is it? (MY07-MY09 had several recalls to fix this).
Good luck!
Cheers,
Rob
Hi Jonesy63
Thanks for the reply hopefully this reply works, its a 2012/2013 model.
Looks to be too much hassle to get at be better on a hoist, biting the bullet and having it towed to a local mechanic next week to fix, hopefully not to expensive.
Not sure why my signature is not showing.
Its a V6 3L diesel twin turbo.
Cheers
Are signature is now working, previously I tried a couple of times to reply to Northiam via reply with quote did not seem to work. reply to the above via reply to thread and all seems well.
It all looks familiar, is that on the drivers side? there is a whole gaggle of fuel lines there and some would be most painful to get at with body on.
I really cant see which line it is and would suggest finding a local independent Land Rover specialist that can help.
A Discovery 4 realistically is well past the days of just using a bit of 3/8 fuel hose, some worm drive clamps and some fencing wire.....
