Use wheel paddles for cruise control on MY14 D4

Has anybody been able to remap D4 MY14 wheel paddles to change cruising speed whilst in normal "D" mode? I drove a D4 sports that had this option as standard.

By “D4 sports” do you mean a Discovery Sport ? Did it have cruise buttons on the steering wheel? If so, I don’t understand the need for the gear change paddles to change cruise speed when the cruise speed changing controls are right on the steering wheel within the same reach as the paddles.

Am I missing something here? The Paddles are mapped only to shift gears, nothing to do with cruise on any of the range that I have driven (which includes them all)..

    Hi Tombie,

I had a Discovery Sports as a loaner for my last service from ULR. I checked the in dash options and it had one to turn on the paddles to be used as cruise control. This is much better than the normal controls that are not as convenient. In my experience I have found that mostly, I use cruise control on the M31. It would be excellent to use in Drive as shifting on paddles happens accidently at times.

I'm going to get the stealer to turn off the paddles if possible as I been known to accidentally catch them when turning the wheel. I don't use them anyway.

In my wifes MY14 Evoque there is an option to disable the paddle shifters while in Drive, they automatically activate whenever the selector is moved to sport. Not sure if this is available on the D4 though - might be worth look through the menu.
