    Wobbly Removable Tow Hitch

Having just got myself a bike carrier for the rear of my D3, I've noticed that the removable tow hitch tends to wobble a bit when subjected to twisting forces. The hitch is rock solid when connected, and doesn't appear to be a connection issue, but the extra leverage which the bike rack shows up a a bit of swaying.

In the video below, you can see the detachable tow hitch moving side-to-side inside the receiver.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is it normal? Does anyone have any suggestions about good ways to make it more rigid (other than swapping out for a mitch hitch)?

    Thanks,

Definitely appears to be fully engaged, and the only movement is side to side (no movement forwards/backwards or up/down)

My bike rack has a strap that attaches to the top of the back door, ( has a little L clip to slip it into the gap between door and the roof ) pull it tight and stops most of the movement.

not all, but most of it.

Mine wobbles just as much with bike carrier but is less noticeable when loaded and makes no difference overall
