    4x4 info via Bluetooth adapter

Hi, I've been wondering if it would be possible on vehicles that don't have the info screen, to display this info on a tablet or phone via the obd2 port and a Bluetooth adapter, obviously an app would need to be written...

But is this info even available via the port?

    Cheers James

Technically everything is available through the canbus and anything could be written, once you understood the propriety codes and how to interpret it all. You might be able to get info from the likes of GAP but I doubt it.

Most if not all is available so it's theoretically possible.
Terrain mode/gear selected/suspension height sensor position/centre diff % locked can all be displayed as live values on iiD.
Converting that to a graphical display? no idea.

    "Unfortunately"
Ours came with a nanocom which I was pleased about as am really quite familiar with them, but that probably means getting anything else is a good ways off,

oh well, will see if this thread sparks some interest...

Best and probably only chance would be if Gap developed something as an extra feature to the iiD phone app, which may not be worth it for their development time.

I have the 4x4 info screen and I find it of absolutely no value so don't think you are missing out on much.
