    Ankaz - 2007 130 Defender Build.

Gday everyone I’d like to introduce you All to my new baby.

Massive improvement that I would recommend to anyone wanting good sounding tunes.

Ive had to add the Mulgo seat rail extenders to stop my knees from hitting the dash but now the inside handle digs into my thigh so a Mud leather door handle and arm rest will ordered later this week.

Ive removed the double rear seat and built a boxed floor for the Dog / Engel Fridge to sit.
Its a work in progress as I’m adding a few switches an some other electrical goodies soon.

Next few weeks will see the suspension redone and 35’s all round, just waiting on terrafirma to get the flares back in stock and I’m away.
Also still researching the best suited suspension set up.
    Suggestions welcome!

Ive got big plans for this rig so I’ll keep the updates & pics coming through regularly.

Ill also love love any advice from those that have gone before me. 4AECFCCD-9AD9-4B8D-A21A-595CF556DE2E.jpg

It looks the goods. I put 6x9's in the back of my headlining, and 6" in the front headlining well as replacing the little 4" speakers under the dash. (1997 build) I'm pleased with my sound too.

    TYRES

    Hello Ankaz
Writing from Perth. I also have a 2007 130. Currently have the Michelin XZL Tyres that it came with, however are due for replacement. The rims are the heavy duty steel rims which require tubes to be used in the tyres. The Michelins can no longer be obtained in Australia. Just want to ask what tyres you are running on your 130. Regards Jim.

If they are genuine LR HD rims (6.5 x 16) they dont need tubes. This has been talked about here almost as much as which spring/shock for defender.

    Hey Jim, I’m currently running 235 75 16 BFG KO2,
Im not a fan of the skinny tyres so I’m opting for a bigger set.
Cant tell you if they’re any good as I’ve only done 500km on them.

Ill be keeping this set just in case the 35’s don’t suit daily driving and only put them on when I’m going bush.

Got a set of Terrafirma’s on special, haven’t fitted them yet though,

Fitted an APT streering plate & front diff guard on the weekend, looks great.
