    D3 Lost its virginity.

    Hey All,

Yesterday had most of the GCLRO over at my place for a recovery session/ excuse for beer and a BBQ. Great day was had even with the wind, rain and squalls 8O , but in the afternoon when it had calmed down some of us took off into the front paddock to do a bit of bush bashing and sliding in the mud.....and........well............I dinged the D3 when I slid back into a tree . So later I will post some pics of the day and the ding 8O ,

    Regards

    Stevo

    Whoopsy.

First ding is always felt the most - soon you'll be flying through the Lantana (maybe not).

PS Hope your driving is better than your camera work (where's the focus)

    Cheers mate

    Hello Steve,

Looks like you had a good time.

Pity about the ding, but it's just one of the risks of having a good time!

The tyres wouldn't have helped in the mud, but I read in LROM that if all four wheels are spining evenly, then the traction control may not engage fully as the car doesn't know that it's not moving in the intended direction. Bascially, you need to plant your fott and maybe move the steering wheel bit to get the TC happening.

Probably wouldn't have helped you, but I thought I'd pass it on. The guys at Eastnor found out when driving on snow.
