    Suspension Fault

    05 HSE v6 270k shortened rods. No history only had for 10k

    Air leak at rear. Discovered hose out of compressor had a hole. Fixed

    Compressor is only 2 years old. Win

    No leak but after starting car. Fault comes back up. Relay is ok.

    Have I missed a reset or where to look next?

    Yeah may need a reset, i think i read than disconnecting both + and - leads from the battery and touching leads together will clear the faults.

    If you do that reset I am pretty sure you have to wait till the car has gone to sleep. You need to wait till the P light has gone out on the dash.

    Anyone close by that has a code reader to check and clear the fault ?

    Hard reset done but no change. Suspension fault and car on bumpstops

    It may help if you describe what happens from when the engine is started giving an indication of the time intervals between activity.

    Car starts no lights on after 15 seconds suspension fault comes on. Pump doesn’t appear to start

    The pump not starting will definitely cause a fault.

    Did you remove the pump?
    Is the electrical connector at the pump firmly fitted to its mating connector?
    Is the 5A suspension system fuse in the engine bay fuse box OK?
    Can you determine if the pump relay is operating for the 15 seconds then detect it dropping out?

    Pump was working but shutting off when first gust of air was released on start up. Didn’t disconnect compressor. Checked underbonnet relay

    Will check the fuse now. Sounds like relay clicks in. Fully on bump stops now
