    Diff oil change

    Gday All,

Changed the diff oil today and was happy with what came out even tho its only 10,000ks old,

I was curious as to how much oil the diffs would hold filling them the old style . So the manual states front diff takes 610mls so it overflows at 700mls , rear diff states 1.1ltr and overflows at 1.2ltrs

    Cheers Ean

I must admit when I am filling mine I use the set amounts but it does start to run out the filler hole on both diffs just as the last ml is going in - so in reality I dont think it matters if you fill the old way to the bottom of the filler - might be different with an initial fill where there has not been oil in the diff previously but not where the diff has previously had oil in it.
