    R/C Beaver , 1st flight

Learning to fly R/C again I bought this 2m span Beaver from the Albury Hobby Shop

Had the first flight today .. Do not need a bead breaker for those tyres , thats for sure !!

When I was in the hobby 20 years ago I only flew glow plug & petrol , Electric was just coming on the scene. Now I think this Electric power is amazing, No noise, whats better NO MESS to clean up. This Beaver has a 6S 5000mah & has the grunt of an old 90 2 stroke !!

Its all over the shop as i'm trying to trim the model , its really sluggish in the controls especially ailerons.

I'll add the 2nd flight later when its uploaded, Had to move CG aft a bit.

    good landing

well, any landing you can walk away from ...... good to see just a little amount of bounce, and no pitch over or ground loop

.. with a little bit of up elevator on the touchdown

video is great........beadlocks would be good too

Better with GC moved back, but nothing like how the internet reviews say how good they are. I'll mix the flaps in to help ailerons and see if it improves.

Im surprised it didn't ground loop either, need to glue those tyres on !!

    heres part 2 ,

Looks like fun though. IMO a longer 'fuse' between main spar and aileron might settle it down a little. Hard, I know.
