Can't give you any info on the car,, but call into the caravan park and say G'day to Wardy,, he's looking after it, and would probably love to have a chinwag with a fellow AULARion.

    Is that correct Brian?
Perentie with a LT95 4 speed, I would have thought up around 3000 rpm at 100 km/h would be closer?

Not that I am familiar with them....

    Paul.

edit; well a bit of research shows those quoted figures to be correct, makes the perentie a lot more appealing than I had previously thought.

That's a 4x4 with 3.54 diff ratio. The 6x6 has a standard ratio of 4.7 and is around the 3000 rpm at the same speed.

    Thanks for that Brian.
I had no idea the 4x4 actually revved lower than the Td5 Defender at 100 km/h in 5th (2,500 rpm).

    cheers,
    Paul.
