Anyone who has done intercooler hoses on a Puma 2.4?

Do you have to take the airbox out to get to the turbo-intercooler hose? I'm looking at my airbox and the joint to the lower duct has been completely sealed with black goo as part of the snorkel installation....no idea how I will get it out as it's now one piece all the way to the snorkel.

when i did mine i was able to get it on without removing anything. is a RPITA but do-able. wasn't pleased to find a hole wearing in the new silicone hose from the knuckle on the steering column. Some rescue tape and a zip tie up and off the steering column.

Ill give it a go. The hose I bought comes with instructions to cut 15mm off the turbo end to clear steering knuckle on RHDs.

From my experience, 15mm is not enough. I had a 25mm cut off my BAS hose, the initial installation was ok, the hose had about 10-15mm clearance. After a 6000km trip(a few hundreds km were offroad) I found the knuckle rubbed the hose and made a dimple. Had further cut when I got a new radiator dropped in.
Regarding the installation, it's easier to remove/install the hose from underneath. I removed top fan shroud and the viscous fan, loosened the airbox.
