    AEB unavailable

    Anyone else get this alert?

I've had the phase 4 update done but I'm still getting this alert on the dash. Goes away of its own accord.

Hi, there are multiple cars with AEB failure, there is now an official note from JLR about this. I got an email yesterday they will replace the AEB unit (previously the car was in already for a few weeks, but they never could make it work). The new unit is ordered and will arrive second half of September. Let's see if it works this time. It's not only the Disco 5, RR sport as well and probably other types. There is a thread on the sister site: DISCO5.CO.UK - View thread - AEB

Although with me it never worked and when the message appears and I press 'OK' the white 'I' appears on my dash (MY18 HSE Lux) and stays.

I've had the error a few times. I'm at the dealership now. Seeing if a software update will fix it. Also trying to fix the issue of the reverse camera not always turning on shifting from D to R..

I wonder if Kangas are on the "approved list " of AEB objects or only Badgers, Moose , and weasels.

I see it now "Kanga ahead AEB will save me BANG"

My AEB alerted me once for a lamp post. Probably mistook it for a very thin tall person. At the time I didn't know it was the AEB warning, I'd only get two quick beeps and something flashing on the dash but it went away too quick to see what it was. From dash cam footage with sound, the dealer was able to work out this was the AEB warning. For me this happened in right hand bends when there is a car parked in the bend. And that lamp post, as where that happened there is no parking allowed.
