DATE: June 10th – 11th 2006 (Queens Birthday long weekend)
COMING FROM BRISBANE - MEET: 8am Caltex Blacksoil - Warrego HWY
COMING FROM GOLD COAST - MEET: 6.45am BP Coomera - Pacific HWY
WHERE: Western Ipswich Tracks
COST: $5 – to cover morning tea and lunch on one day
CLASS: RED – G4 ORANGE See grading specifications below
UHF: Channel 33 (EACH CAR MUST HAVE A UHF RADIO)
TRIP LEADER: Glen - Brothers Off road
OTHER INFO: This trip has up to a G4 rating however there will be tracks to suit those happy to stick to red tracks. There with be something for everyone so don't be put off by the G4 rating. There will be some nice little tracks for those who wish to drive G4 with room to spectate for those who don't.
ACCOMODATION: Staying Saturday night at Glen’s home at Fernvale. Glen can accommodate about 20 in his entertainment room. Coffee and cooking equipment is in this room along with a fridge - bring your own tucker and bedding or swag. For those who wish to camp, Glen has several acres of flat grassed area to use, so camp trailers and tents if you prefer.
PROPOSED ITINERARY
Saturday
9.00am – Glen’s house at Fernvale for Morning tea. Unload your vehicle here, pre-trip vehicle check with briefing on tracks etc.
10.30am - planned trip up to 5.00pm approx. Back to Fernvale for showers and BBQ. 4x4 DVD/videos for rest of evening, bring your 4x4 dvd or video along with drinks.
Sunday
9.00am - Short workshop on suspension before planned day trip. Meeting with Mick Garner "Mog rover" at an undisclosed area. Drive till your sick of it or for the rest of the day.
As always, I am happy to answer any questions anyone has about this trip and before signing up at trips@gcrlo.com, please read the trip classifications below. When signing up, please let me know if you will be camping or staying in Glen's entertainment room.

8. Terrain Specific Tyres

Close consultation, planning and approval required from trip leaders, participants and trip committee before trip commences </span>

2. Max 1 other passenger per vehicle
3. Completed the GCLRO Driver Awareness Program
4. Lockable centre diff or equivalent
5. Front or rear cross axle locker (or equivalent)
6. Rated recovery points front and rear
7. Comprehensive SELF recovery equipment
8. Winch (electric or hand operated)
9. First Aid Kit
10. Comprehensive Tool kit
11. Mud or Aggressive Terrain Tyres
12. Spare parts an advantage

Hey Outlaw you should come along to my place I am doing a 37 chevy for a customer putting in 5ltr auto, disc brake rear, custom dash and floor pan HG holden front end. and it's black my fav colour. see i can work on things other than landies.
I'll be there, always up for some hardcore off-road work as usual.
Got the 31' muddies on now finally so I'm a bit more confident with the vehicles capabilities![]()
