Apart from that classic V8 sound I don't know. I still miss the sound of my 1995 Disco V8. $30,000 is a lot of extra money, I will watch this post with curiosity.

SupporterBrowsing Redbook and noticed that the D4 V8 is around $30,000.00 more than the top spec diesel model, HSE SDV6. Couldn’t find any details through Google on what else it ads for all that extra coin?

SubscriberI have a feeling the V8s had pretty much all the options of the HSE diesel fitted as standard. I know the rear E-Diff, 17 speaker sound system, rear TV/DVD screens and surround cameras were all standard on the V8, but options on the diesel.

Yes, they pretty much had everything on them. If you know the VIN you could probably look it up on TOPIX.

Well unless stock diesels have improved a great deal, I'd say performance..
The D4 V8 I thrashed was very impressive....

When I went shopping for the two D4s I've owned I had no issue finding a pdf of the Australian specs by year. It shows you the 'standard' fit for each model. It's easy to read and comprehensive. Obviously there are cars out there with extra options but the PDF shows the starting point which is really useful as a baseline reference.
I've attached the 2015 pdf as an example.
Cheers,
Kev.
