Yeah its a busy palce at easter alright, school holidays aswell
Well, not quite but close. Check out the conditions report for Fraser... It says that all campgrounds are full. I'm sure there is still beach camping left but I reckon you'd have to pay for parking at Eli Creek

Moreton has priced its self out of reach for some. Wont be long before Fraser ups all its fee's to slow down the hoilday makers
i wonder what it would cost to buy my own island...?
Moreton's the go.
The barge is the costliest part - but it's a short trip (1 hr) and probably equal to time and money you'd spend to get to Fraser & Back. You can go anytime - and still not see anyone - I've been over there Easter, public hols, Xmas time - it's great and not crowded - plenty of activities - plenty of decent driving - and NO CROWDS!!!
Fraser in a holiday period is like the Goldy. I don't go there in busy times anymore - I go away to "get away" , not to be stuck in traffic or crowds on the bitumen or beach. The beach at Fraser, is like a highway at Easter.
Not to mention the X5,Merc's and backpackers in their hired troopies...and don't get started on the BILUX brigade (Bogan Hiluxers)
Righto, enough whinging - I'm starting to sound like a POM

$550,000
It's up at Port MacQuarie, about 100ha/250acres, comes with derelict buildings to camp in, thirty cows, a punt that can carry cows or cars to cross the river in. Has power and phone.
What more could you want?
I'll go you halves.
Cheers
Simon
