    Reinstall Original bumper

    Hi
I currently have an alloy Land Rover bullbar on my 2014 XXV which I'm not a great fan of for a number of reasons.

I'm therfore looking at replacing it withe original front bumper setup, which I don't have as the bullbar was already installed when I purchased the car.

The front has the parking sensors and fog lights together with the adaptive cornering lights.

My question is what parts do I need to put the front end back to original?

    Thanks
    John

I'm not familiar with the alloy bars but if they are like the steel bars there are many brackets and plastic trim pieces removed when fitting plus the factory steel bar that the plastic cover fits over.

Maybe you can find the fitting instructions for the LR alloy bar, that would give you a better idea what has been cut and removed. I looked at the LR accessories website but the instructions aren't there, possibly as this was an Australian accessory only. Ask a dealer?

    Heads up.
I got a new white 2015 bumper from ARB for a case of beer, another D4 user was getting a bullbar installed and like most he didn’t want it so they normally just throw them away.

My tip, don’t buy one just call your local ARB and Opposite Lock and ask if they have any same colour D4’s booked in. Should get you most parts you need for free

Free is good, recycling all that plastic is even better

You’re actually doing them a favour too as they need to pay to get rid of the bumpers if the owner doesn’t want them, which they normally don’t.

Yep, they're quite common on Gumtree too, I like the Recycle approach though.

Bought mine with the 'bar already on, would not go back to the OEM bumper. IMHO the ARB bar is worth it's weight in gold.

Have had a couple of "love taps" to the car in carparks etc. That would have damaged the oem bumper, not so for a quality steel bar.

Have you thought about changing to a steel bar rather than the factory bumper?
