I Have 160 litres between the two tanks. My aux is tank is just under 40 litres. Where will the water poly tank go?

I gave up on the long range tank idea. Got a roof rack and four jerry cans for $700. and a place for another spare wheel to go.

yeh, my rack carries 6, and a spare, and the Hi Lift, and the shovel, and the gas bottle, and the tent poles and the swag, see where I'm heading, be nice to get some weight down low.

yeah... I'm uncertain about putting a 30kg roof rack on... worried about the implications... even if I do get it only the lightest stuff will go up there.

Yep... Always best to keep the weight down low. Other than the obvious problems with the centre of gravity, you get stress fractures in the roof when you put too much weight on a Defender (as if it doesn't leak enough already!). In extreme situations, the weight on the roof can squash the rear tub too!!

There is something to be said to being able to go 1400km without opening the fuel tank 8) .
Hurts when you fill it though 8O

Has hurt since it went over $1/litre, although crump is in Qld.
Though soon I guess even Qld will be seeing diesel given away at $1.47/litre like here and let it untrue the rumour of $2/litre by the end of next year. 8O

Very true. We are at $1.42 here at the moment. I'm dreaming of Sydney prices
