    REMAP for a 2.7 TDV6

I've just had a look on the net, and the prices for a remap are not cheap - all seem to be well in XS of $AU 1,000.

Is this the case? Or is there something local and realistically priced that will reliably increase torque for heavy towing.

If you have Gap IID, the BAS remap comes in at $650 at current exch rate.

Will it shut the EGR's as well, and change whatever so no fault codes?

    Most power upgrades will.

But then Blanking plates are also needed, which are very cheap and easy to fit,to be 100% sure they are completely shut.

The standard BAS map doesn't include the EGR delete, that is an extra 150GBP.

I went with the BAS remap for our MY12 D4 TDV6 with the 2.7L engine. Already had an IID Tool and the cost for the remap was $650.00. Car has more power and torque than I feel the need to use. Generally find that the vehicle doesn’t need to rev about 2,000rpm, it pulls hard enough just under that. Fuel economy is around 10L per 100km for the general commuting, highway and city.

At the end of the day, you really should have an IID Tool if you have one of these vehicles and plan to do any self maintenance. It’s the Nanocom for D3/4.

Theres other discussion threads about the more generic offerings and the poor EGT etc. Personally I just don’t trust the companies that are covering a wide variety of brands and prefer the specialists.

Thanks all. That's what I was looking for/wanted to hear. Scan tool comes with the wee beastie I'm looking at. Anyone looking for a top drawer D2a TD5 with Nanocom?
