Question Ford Ranger LED lights... Flickering!!/staying on...

    Hi All,
Two queries. Ford PX Ranger 2013.

    A) Installed a canopy with high rear LED brake lights. Utilised the wiring from the roll bar brake lights (bar removed). LED lights stay on faintly for 15mins or so after shutdown. No flicker.

Towing No5 ex-army trailer. Convoy light is LED, hitched it up to the reverse light circuit. Comes on full with reverse light but stays on flickering at all other times, stays on after shutdown as above light. No earth problem. Stays on even when using LED trailer adapter.

How to get rid of both? Especially trailer.

Thought trailer LED adapter from Ford had resistors but is it a problem to do with using all incandescent apart from convoy?? Will a resistor on the convoy light kill the flickering?

    Cheers,
    Dave

This sounds similar to LED flickering in Discover 3 RRS etc
You may need to install a pulse buster or make your own with resistors and relays
This is a long read but useful and includes Colin Pedersons circuit design for a DIY pulse buster
