Doors.

Is there a difference between S2, S2a and S3 doors? I was talking to an old computer illiterate bloke today who reckons his car has the wrong door fitted. The door that is fitted is in poor condition and he wants to replace it. DSC_0086.jpg

That appears to be a S2(A) door. Main differences are hinges and the door lock. Both of which are interchangeable.

Thanks Paul, the car is a S2. The hinges are in good nick but the locking mechanism is iffy.

Yep, 2 or 2a. Series 3 onwards to the end of Defender production used a different hinge.
