20”wheels L405

Can anyone confirm please if I should be looking for 47 or 53 offset wheels . I’m wanting to replace the 21” with 20” so as to fit 55 profile tyres on My L405 SDV8

53 was for the original L320 RRS, D3, D4 etc where the rims were set in further than on the L405/L494.

I had in mind that the L405/L494 offset was 45 but perhaps that's just my not recalling exactly. The rims will have a part number that can be checked for applicability.

Edit: The standard 20"x8.5" rim for the MY13 L405 ALY72245U20/72265 Range Rover Wheel Silver #LR037745
has 47mm offset.

The rims I’m looking at are off a 2014 RR Sport & are 47offset so I’ll inspect them and all going well part with some more cash . Cheers

Ive now bought a 2nd hand set of 20" wheels off a L494 Sport (TICK) and will probably fit NITTO 275/55R20 tyres (TICK). The L405 Autobiography & current 21" wheels have TMPS but the 20" wheels don't have TPMS. Do I need to have the dealer Turn Off TPMS or will the car just ignore it as it wont be able communicate with wheel sensors. I do have an IIDTool but hesitate to get in too deep with it.

You can move the TPMS senders over to the new wheels or buy some more. If you don’t have senders in the wheels it won’t matter as the TPMS should just ignore it. It did on my D4.

You bought the correct wheels.

As for the tyres, Nittos probably wouldn’t be my first choice but they aren’t bad.

Thanks , I’m not locked into Nitto but have seen a few posts suggesting they are good. What would you suggest?

My Pirelli AT+ in the same size are quiet. The AT+ has LI 113 whereas the TG has 117 although neither is classified as LT.
