Check your newly installed battery.
Pay particular attention the terminal tightness.
And check the battery itself - wouldn’t be the first early failure.
When you replaced it; you *did* reset the BMS right?
So without warning the other day all of a sudden I get a ping telling me the I have an ABS failure, no HDC, no stability control or parkbrake. To make matters worse suspension then drops to access height. Research suggest 3 amigoes except I have four and most threads refer to disco2. Mine is the 2014 8 speed.
Time to give my GAP ID tool a run. Comes up with a heap of faults but number one suggests front left ABS wheel speed sensor. Makes perfect sense. I cleared all faults and by the time I leave the driveway all faults are back. Bugger. So repeat this a few times for the same result. So I immediately replaced said sensor cable thinking this should do it but not to be. Cleared all faults and within moderately more short term all back again. Now it is really sad.
The whole car was shod with new discs and rotors over 5000 klms ago and no issues to date and a new battery installed three weeks ago. All seems good.
This front left did whack a pot hole 8 months ago resulting in a buckled front left comp rim. But no other dramas. Replaced rim and good to go.
What is interesting to me that the speed sensor cable is very robust looking up to the plug under the guard and then the plug exits this with two very thin unprotected wires. Do these then run over to the abs on the drivers side. Thinking of a wire continuity check if so.
Finally after all this and twice now since this issue started I’ve had a pretty decent clunk from the front left while reversing. It was definitely a drive line clunk.
The car is booked in for diagnosis but curious if anyone has seen this in the later models. Can’t understand why it needs to involve the suspension in this either. Very annoying as the car could be nursed home way easier. Also i have read there is a long cable that bypasses the plug direct to the engine bay. But this could be just the disco 2.
The speed sensor ring looks fine, no play or noise in the bearing and vehicle has new control arms 5000 klms ago also.
I will post results as I find out but anyone got a clue. I bloody love this car and Have built it up to head outback and Simpson crossing next month and this has rocked my confidence.
Cheers
Steve

What Tombie said. Also any earth terminal, especially Dual Battery System .

When I had a wheel ABS sensor fault on our Defender recently, it was because the sensor was installed in the wrong position. A quick adjustment while I waited fixed it.
Check that front wheel bearing....
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
Anything that causes bad vibrations at the sensor can interfere with the ABS signal. Also check the left CV joints.
Lowering to access / safe height is because the suspension ecu has reacted to an ABS-reported fault.
