    LR hubs for trailer

I have a HD 6X4 trailer that I want to covert from ford wheels to Landy rims. Whats the best and cheapest way to convert? I am not worried about the wheels at this stage but wondering if I need to replace the whole axle of I can get the hubs to suit.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts....thanks!

You can just get standard hubs to fit your trailer and then have them drilled to suit a specific stud pattern. A lot of trailer places will do this but will only use the standard studs. Which generally means only able to take standard wheel nuts not alloy wheel nuts. I got mine from Martin,s Trailers in Perth, for about $70ea from memory. You just need to know what sort of bearings you are runnin Holde/Ford. These are unbraked hubs, but braked units should not be any drama. I know quite a few people are having difficulty getting Disco 2 hubs or studs the same as on the vehicle. When I get time I am going to remove mine (Rangie Classic /Disco1/Defender pattern) and drill them out to accomodate the original wheel studs that will take either steel wheel nuts or alloy nuts.

I have listed the ALKO part nos. for their hubs. I wonder if they'd fit your existing trailer axles.
