How about the new one from Tuffant?
Hi All
Previous D4 had Compomotive Rims and I had no problems with them - I see there is a slightly cheaper MOAB Rim (now available in stock) that I may put on the new D4.
Has anyone had good /bad experience with MOAB’s?
cheers
How about the new one from Tuffant?
Looked at them and will use one for the Spare - for the driving set I prefer the look & strength of alloy rims. (alloy vrs steel is a whole other debate)
I was referring to the Alloys.
5 x TuffAnt alloy for $1668
Set of 5 - TuffAnt Alloys | TuffAnt
5 x Moab alloy for $2200
Land Rover Discovery D4 18" MOAB Wheels
Don’t know relative shipping cost. Single Moab costs $550 but not sure for smaller quantities of TuffAnts.
Cheers,
Scott

Thanks Tombie - Did not know about the Tuffant alloy - Bugger it just got harder - now there 3 to choose from 😁
I really trust the Compo’s because they have taken a hammering on my other Landy but have read some posts about them delaminating and stock / delivery is an issue.
I don’t like the look of the Tuffant Alloy - 5 spoke looks a little too ‘Hollywood’ for me (just my opinion)
Had no negative comments about them so far so might just have a think on going the MOAB..
Doing Cape York (incl Frenchman’s & Old Tele) when it eventually opens 🤞 hopefully they don’t let me down 😳

Tuffant also do steelies, $971 for 5 on there website.
I have Tuffant steels. I like the look on my white D4 I painted them Matt Black, same as my roof rack.
Beauty is in the eye of the owner!
Personally I love the idea of compos. But I reckon they are ugly. Moabs too. I didn't like the first tuffant alloy with the machined section either. I agree it was too much. But the solid black colour looks great.
I had to get some help from tuffant and they were great. Even though I bought second hand wheels. If I was going remote that would be my choice purely on there service. Although I can't comment on Moab service or compos.
Good luck on your choice mate. Have a great trip

I don't half mind the look of the tuffant alloy. In silver it would look like a factory rim I reckon.
Anyone fitted them in the silver or titanium colour? Can't find many pics other than Black.
