2014 bonnet locking issue

My 2014 Bonnet has become a proper pain to lock. Every time the drivers side just won’t lock down which apart from being loose means you can’t lock the car. Passenger side never an issue. If I slam the bonnet it will eventually lock. I can’t even push it to lock. The bonnet needs a good slam.
ive sprayed latches etc but no good. Do these have an adjustment somewhere. Feels something just not letting it close quite enough for the bonnet to do its final lock.

Can't help, but the following instructions are from the workshop manual, but they relate to removing/replacing the Hood Latch Panel:
15. Adjust both of the hood latches.Loosen the 4 hood latch Torx bolts.Lower the hood and check for alignment.Open the hood and tighten the Torx bolts to 10 Nm(7 lb.ft).Check for the correct operation of the hood safety catch.If necessary, repeat the above adjustment procedure.
16. Connect the battery ground cable.

Look at the front corners under the bonnet. Each corner has a round black rubber bump stop.

You will find these are also helical height adjustable.

Screw them a single turn down and ensure both are same height.

Then keep adjusting till closed but still firm when shut, they are also designed to stop bonnet vibration offroad.

I have the same issue with the red alert light coming on even tho I've slamned the bonnet and it is def closed😞

I can't see where the switch is located just in case it's faulty. I've lubed the catches and dropped the spiral stops a bit. But that puts the bonnet out of alignment....anyhow...no red dash light so far....1 day🙄

Anyone know where the switch is locate?

Part of the drivers side latch. Just to side of radiator you’ll see the plug and module. Bridge the wires and problem goes away.

Drove it this am..so far lowering the stops and lubing the latches is working..no alerts so far...

Normal failure mode is random intruder security alarm going off all the time. I tried every way of cleaning it to no avail. You can easily buy and replace the switch module that clips onto the latch but you don’t miss it once disconnected and bridged. I use bright red electrical tape on the bridged connector that reminds me and anyone that looks in of the mod.

And on road when road trains (full 53m) go past in the opposite direction.

Argh..did again..so screwed the stops down again..and slammmmmmed it shut..again..

8 months and no alarms/faults...had to happen some time I guess😞
