I had one done which upped torque to 508 Nm from memory for towing my block of flats - very happy with it in conjunction with EGR delete and adding EGT gauge - not that it ever gets above 600 even under duress!

I had a stage 1 remap & an EGR delete done & am more than happy. The car feels "lighter" to drive & (best of all) turbo lag is dramatically reduced. Definitely a little punchier but nothing extreme. Fuel similar although country kms marginally better.

I went with the Bell Auto Services (BAS) remap on our first MY12 D4 2.7 TDV6. I applied it almost immediately after purchase so can't comment much on performance difference. There's no shortage of power or torque and fuel economy running around town with the kids, to work etc. is around 10 - 11L/100km which were happy with.

Have since done the EGR delete and had deactivation patch applied.

EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation system that releases exhaust gas back into the air intake to cycle through your motor again.
EGT = Exhaust Gas Temperature - what will kill your engine from 700*C and above.
Google can often assist you with these things too.

Post 2007 need both - both the EGR blanking hardware to be fitted aswell as the software disabling of the system.
