    What weed?

Don't really care what it is called and don't care about the bug either.

How do I kill this insidious weed. I have poisoned it, pulled it out and poisoned it some more but it continues to resurect itself in more places.

It is like some kind of zombie plant, no matter what you do to it you just can't get rid of it.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

As mentioned is Wandering Jew - dont let your dogs near it as they will come out in allergic rashes.

Mature plants do not respond to zero but new sprouts do if the roundup is a very strong brew.

Wait until very dry conditions eg summer. Remove as much as you can by hand and put in the garbage not compost. You will not get rid of the root system. When it resprouts spray with a strong mix - this combined with dry hot weather will slow it right down - a few days after spraying again root out as much as you can.

This will knock it right down BUT you will never get rid of it - if you keep at it after it has been knocked down, removing new shoots, it is manageable but unless the whole area is nuked it will always come back - but very hot dry weather does have an impact of reshooting.

    Wandering Jew vs Scurvy Weed

There are two types of Wandering Jew types of plant around our place.
The blue flowered one is native to Australia, the white flowered one is introduced.
The blue one is called Scurvy Weed, Commelina cyanea: Commelina cyanea
I just pull out the white flowering one and put it in the bin. The blue native one is rarely a problem here.
    Cheers,

Have found mention of this stuff Starane Advanced Herbicide to combat this crappy weed. Anyone used it? Bloody expensive! Particularly when the recommendation of dilution is about 900mL to 100L for Wandering Jew. Not that I will be mixing up 100L lots but still $155.00 for 1 Litre!!! That would last me a lifetime.

Is this what is required to "Nuke" the area?

    It really is a PITA.

We have it around here as well. But doesnt do well in shady dry areas, which we have a lot of.

As Garry said, it seems to get knocked around in hot and dry weather.

I pull it out and in the wheelie bin.
