Just wondering what the accumulated wisdom of this group is in regards to securing blots such as Fly wheel bolts?
We have the old and tried lock tabs that get hammering into position so the head of the bolt cannot move. We have a range of thread locking formulations like Loc-tite or is it best to be super conservative and use both?
Some of my Tabs are pretty beaten up and could well fail by simply breaking off. New one are not necessarily easy or cheap to find.
Loctite is super convenient but is it enough for a Series 1 80" puttering around the urban streets of Perth?
thanks in advance.

If you anneal the tabs they have a better chance of surviving, but I'd still use Loctite on the bolts.
Just because it's hard to get in there again to fix things that come loose.
